The river basin was made wider and shallower by the storm of 05. To repair the damage, we have placed massive boulders along the river wall, filled in with finer stones and sediment from the bottom of the property wall, 600 ft upstream. In continuing work, a trench will be constructed at the base of the river wall and a continuous wire anchor will be installed in that trench. The river wall will then be smoothed out from the trench to the top of the eastern river wall. A layer of geotechnical fabric will be placed in the trench and will extend up and over the river wall. Gabion wire and Gabion stone blankets will then be placed on top of the fabric to hold it and the river wall in place. All will be secured with numerous anchors to the river wall and floor.
